Arco - Geography
Arco is located inland, to the right of the river Sarca, at the point where the valley begins to widen and then stretches to the shores of Lake Garda. Just 5 km from Riva del Garda and from Torbole, the town of Arco is divided into two parts: at the foot of the cliff, where the ruins of the castle stand, lies the old centre of the town with its elegant architecture, then there is the newer western part. Thanks to the protection of the mountains to the north and the influence of Lake Garda to the south, Arco enjoys a mild climate all year round, thus favouring the cultivation of olives, magnolias, laurel, cactus, palms and other species of plants that are characteristic of Mediterranean vegetation.
